Over a hundred applications from 21 countries have been received at the deadline of the 1st call for proposals of the AstroFIt2 Programme, cofunded by the National Institute for Astrophysiscs and the European Commission, under H2020, Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND action.
The applications come mostly from Spain (20%), the US (13%), and the UK (13%), but also from Mexico, Brazil and Chile. More than half of the applicants are Italian nationals (54%) who have not spent in Italy more than 12 months in the previous three years before the call deadline (18 November 2015).
The average age of applicants is 33 years old and the 42% of them are women.
